Kym Valentine who plays Libby Kennedy from the Ausie Soap Neighbours suffered from a collapsed lung on a flight from New York to Melbourne this month.

Valentine, will be discussing this traumatic event along side her recent recovery from pneumonia not so long ago, in her forthcoming magazine interview.

She spent several days in hospital after the flight and is now at home continuing her recovery.

Kym started in the soap back in 1994 and stayed for 10yrs before taking a break to star in a stage show for ‘Dirty Dancing’. She started again with the soap in 2007 and is one of the Neighbours longest serving actresses.

Raef Bjaou 27 from the Apprenticewill be competing in the new series of The Underdog Show showing on living TV.

The suave sophisticated toff and x-apprentice contestant, will team up with Suz. A two year old, orphaned dog for the reality show.

A big hit with the ladies, how will Raef cope with he four legged canine friends. Since leaving the apprentice he has appeared quire often on television in a variety of roles. I would think that he has made more than the £100,000 pay packet that he would have earned with Sir Alan.

He will teach ( with a little help) the  animal new tricks and try to impress judges Brendan Cole, Donelda Guy and Steve Mann.

“I’m hoping to use skills I learned in The Apprentice,” he told The Sun.

The Underdog Show, which is hosted by Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and Mark Durden-Smith, airs in the autumn.

The BBC have won the bid for life time rights to air the popular TV show ‘Heroes’ in the UK .

BBC has been in talks with its provider US studio NBC Universal for some time now and has recently signed a deal with them to show all future seasons of the show. SKY also put forward a rival bid, so presumably they will be less than happy with the end result.

BBC acquisitions head George McGhee had this to say:- “As long as Heroes is on in the US, we will show Heroes,” BBC acquisitions head George McGhee “It’s a long-term partnership, and I think that was the right thing to do. [NBC] are really pleased that we’ve got Heroes - and they don’t want it going to a commercial broadcaster.”

The BBC is to air the 3rd series of the cult drama on BBC 2 & BBC 3 in September, only days after its shown in the US.

Heroes has only just ended and its going to be another 2months before the 3rd installment ‘Villians’ hits our screens however a new web only installment is due to hit the Internet in under a weeks time.

A new addition to the hit series starts next week for web users only. It will follow a new hero called Echo De Mille, a postman hence the title for the mini series being called ‘Heroes: Going Postal’. The first installment will air on NBC.com next Monday

The trailer is out and about on the web and the episode will star a surprise guest appearance by Peters & Nathans Mum from the TV series ‘Angela Petrelli.

Duncan Bannatyne has criticised Sir Alan Sugars’ decision for hiring Lee McQueen as his new apprentice after the heart stopping final last month.

Bannatyne claimed that Sugar had sent out a wrong message to viewers after hiring Lee due to the fact that he lied on his CV. He had mentioned on his CV that he had attended Thames Valley University for 2 years when in fact he was only present for 4months!

Lee fought for the place of Sir Alan’s apprentice against fellow applicant Clare Young and to most peoples surprise took the victory.

After winning the TV show he reportedly never turned up for his first day claiming he was ill. Dragons Den Duncan Bannatyne said:-

“That’s what happens when you employ a liar. I’m so angry that Alan Sugar sent that message out to the country. If you want a job, kids, lie on your CV. I’m disgusted.”

Bannatyne added: “Claire should have won. She’s absolutely fantastic.”

Personally i loved Lee, i thought he was great entertainment and a fantastic character but the truth is i agree with Duncan. Even forgetting the fact that it promotes the wrong message to kids, his integrity has been shot and he should have been fired immediately!

The new movie Mamma Mia had a few surprise visitors at its Swedish premiere the other day. Abba showed up to lend support!

This is the first time they have been seen together in public for years. The last time they were officially together , was back in 1986. Although there were reports that they also reunited for a one-off preformance at a friends birthday party back in 1999.

All the members of the band attended the event (Benny Andersson, Bjorn Ulvaeus, Anni-Frid Lyngstad and Agnetha Faltskog) along with the film’s star-studded cast, which includes Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and Meryl Streep.

Anni-Frid or as she is better know by her fans ‘Frida’, and Agnetha posed for pictures with Meryl Streep and they even entertained fans by doing a dance together.

Katie Holmes is suffering with embarrassment this week, as the tickets for her Broadway stage debut are selling painfully slow.  Her pay packet isn’t as A-List as her husband Tom Cruise, who also quite fancies starring in a play.

Katie will earn £500,000 for her role in the play, All My Sons, which doesn’t compare well to Tom’s ex Nicole Kidman’s £2million for a role in the play in 1998, where she played a role in which she got naked in.

Tom who has recently been so concerned about his public image that he is considering to turn to the stage himself.

Maybe if they took a page out of Nicole’s book and got naked, the tickets would sell like hot cakes!

Clive Hornby as Jack SugdenClive Hornby who played Jack Sugden in the ITV soap Emmerdale has died aged 62. The veteran actor who has played this part for the last 28 years had not worked since January due to ill health

Jack’s character married three times in the series and had five children

Fact followed fiction when Clive married Helen Weir, who played his first on-screen wife, Pat, in 1986.

Together they had a son, Thomas, and after his birth Weir left the drama and was killed off in a car crash the same year. Clive later split with the actress.

Clive was very proud of the fact the he had worn the same flat cap since he started filming in 1980

He will be sadly missed by all the cast members.

Chris Chittell, who plays Eric Pollard in Emmerdale, said Clive “meant everything to everyone”.

“He was a very private and courageous man and not only a great contributor to the show but also to all our lives,” he added.
