Walsh added that Cowell viewed Cole as a “more attractive” model: “Yes, you might say that. He’s definitely paying attention to Cheryl now, not Dannii.”

Harry Potter sues Hari Puttar

A lawsuit has been filed by Warner Bros against an Indian film studio called Mirchi Movies who are going to release a film called Hari Puttar - A Comedy of Terrors.

The case will be heard at Bombay High Court, Warner Bros will believe that Puttar infringes on the copyright of the Harry Potter film series.

Hari Puttar, is all about a young 10 year old boy from India who moves to the UK. It is due to be released on September 12.

A Warner Bros. spokesperson confirmed: “We have recently commenced proceedings against parties involved in the production and distribution of a movie entitled Hari Puttar.

“Warner Bros. values and protects intellectual property rights. However, it is our policy not to discuss publicly the details of any ongoing litigation.”

Mirchi Movies CEO Munish Purii said: “Since the case is sub-Justice, we can’t comment as of now. However, we registered the Hari Puttar title in 2005, and it’s unfortunate that Warner has chosen to file a case so close to our film’s release. In my opinion, I don’t think our title has any similarity or links with Harry Potter.”

The TV show Emmerdale is having a few arguments between the cast and the screenwriters.

It would seem that the cast regard a lot of the stories they have to adopt are tacky and unsuitable for viewers. The scene that caused the trouble was when Douglas Potts was itching his groin after catching an STI.

An Emmerdale source told The Mirror: “This has to be the tackiest soap story of all time.

“Duncan was horrified. His character has casual sex, ends up getting crabs and is seen scratching himself in the corner shop. How can this possibly be suitable for a 7pm audience? Duncan is a top actor and it is terrible that he has had to go through this crackpot charade.”

They continued: “Some people are so unhappy they are seriously thinking of throwing in the towel. It is not the happy place it used to be. They have got rid of good people.

“Anita doesn’t seem to know what she wants. At first it was a return to family values, whatever they are. I wouldn’t like to try to explain to children why Douglas is fiddling about with his nether regions.”

A spokeswoman for the Yorkshire-based soap, however, said: “It raises awareness of what can be an embarrassing infection and stresses the importance of seeking medical advice.”

A few of coronation street’s longest members have been told that they should expect to see a large pay cut.

Betty Driver (Betty Williams), Barbara Knox (Rita Sullivan), Malcolm Hebden (Norris Cole) and Eileen Derbyshire (Emily Bishop) will stop being paid a regular salary and start to be paid on a scene-by-scene basis.

They current get between £180,000 and £250,000 per year. They will only now be able to reach this sort of level when they get involved in much high profile storys.

An insider told the newspaper: “It’s an absolute disgrace. These stars have given their heart and soul to Corrie over the years. None of them expect to be - or have the energy to be - at the centre of huge ratings-busting plots.

“Betty’s nearly 90, Eileen and Barbara are in their 70s and Malcolm Hebden is 68. Instead of being rewarded for their contribution, they are being treated little better than extras.”

A Coronation Street spokeswoman confirmed: “It is the season when a lot of the older stars will start negotiations for next year. But we do not discuss artists’ payments or contracts.”

Kate Winslet admitted that during love scenes for her new up and coming movie Revolutionary Road , it felt ‘a bit wierd’.

Kate’s co-star Leonardo DiCaprio (also starred along side her in Titanic) was not the main cause but her husband who happens to be the director for this movie, Sam Mendes.

She said: “I just kept saying, ‘This is too… weird’. And Leo was like, ‘Oh, get over it’. And I’m going, ‘Yeah, a little reminder: You’re my best friend. He’s my husband. This is a bit weird’.

“I hadn’t realised how much my chemistry with him since Titanic would still stick. It’s great to discover we can just slip right into it, like muscle memory.”

Mendes added that he was also feeling awkward directing his wife with DiCaprio. “I will admit it was quite bizarre to direct my wife in how to make love,” he said. “But it’s difficult whether you’re married to a person or not.”

Kiefer Sutherland has confirmed that the smash hit TV series ‘24′ are bringing out a movie once the show is over.

The lead male role in the show stated that the producers of the show don’t want his character ‘Jack Bauer’ in a movie until the TV series has been cancelled.

“It’s certainly on the table,” Sutherland told Extra. “We would certainly be thrilled to make it, but we’re going to wait until the series is finished.”

“It’s always been a desire but we’ve always known that for the writers, it’s so hard for them to actually get through the series every year that we put the film on the back burner, that we would do it after the series was over, and that might be as soon as next year.”
