Jill Saward has had complications during a face lift for a new reality TV show due to be broad casted next month.
For those of you that don’t know, Jill was an 80s funk-jazz singer and was the front women for Shakatak.
She underwent an operation as part of a Living TV’s Pop Goes The Band . The idea of the show is to help former musical stars re-launch their career, part of it entails going through a medical procedure to re-image them.
The55-year-old’s suffered from an infection and weeping wounds after the operation.
A source from the show said: “Jill’s recovery was touch and go as to whether she would be healed in time for her ‘reveal’ on camera. She didn’t heal very well and had a bad infection.”
A spokeswoman for Living TV said: “Pop Goes The Band is about restoring bands to their former glory through either surgery, minor or major, or non-invasive procedures. Jill was one who opted for a face lift and like anyone after major surgery, there is a recovery process.”
