I didn’t think they could pull another series off. Bur the fantastic cast transported down to London from the cobbled north was a masterpiece of genius. The ‘unpolitical correct’ way the police were allowed to function is perfectly portrayed. Male chauvinist’s ruled the roost. Criminals were the baddies, straight talking was the order of the day and the good guys won the daily battle against crime.
Interesting perspective to put in the liberated well educated policewoman, who is so obviously superior in intelligence to her male colleagues. The dynamics between them are a joy to watch.
How will it all end will Gene get it together with the bit of posh or will she suddenly wake up in hospital and get back to her family,
For me the first series will still be the very best. Life on Mars was so cleverley done as the audience was held on tenterhooks right until the final programme. I wonder if they can possible do another series after this one as Gene and his colleagues would have most certainly have taken their lump sums and gone of the Spain to live on the Costas. Now there is an idea!!
Sir
Alan finally gets the chance to get rid of the boring useless science teacher. No wonder the education system is in disarray. The very uncharismatic science teacher could not organise a drunken party in a brewery. Full of pathetic excuses for his continual failure and ability to vanish into insignificance.
He says he will be returning back to the classroom where no doubt his magnetic personality will transfix his class into some sort of trance because i doubt he could hold their attention enough to keep them awake.
He is, as Nick pointed out a ‘nice guy’, but nice guys very rarely win.
Alan Sugar had been waiting for an opportunity to get rid of him ever since the soap episode 2 weeks ago so it was no surprise he was thrown out..
Personally I thought ben should have gone as he is a complete and utter twit. All i can say is thank god he didn’t go to Sandhurst and consequently be put in a position of leadership and with a gun!!! But twits and idiots make good telly! Why else do we watch this programme, it would be a real turnoff if some of the contestants were actually good at their tasks we all like to see them fail and the squirm in the boardroom.
